(1) Filter and block junk E-mail by using Pegasus Mail. The best security policy is always to "block everything" and allow only what you know.
Copy the Spam Having IP Traceability™ List (updated monthly) to block most IP addresses and domains that permit abuse of their mail servers.
Save the spam list as spam.pnp and place in your PMAIL\MAIL\ADMIN
directory. From the Pegasus Mail menu go to "Tools - Mail filtering rules",
select one of the rule sets (general or POP3) to edit , and then open SPAM for your filtering rule set.

(3) To help combat invasion of privacy, add a command line to the AUTOEXEC.BAT file, or batch file that runs during
power on or system boot, to delete all cookies stored on the hard disk drive. AUTOEXEC.BAT example:

(4) Use Free Firewall Software for Windows to protect your computer from intrusion.
(5) Download and use Lavasoft Ad-aware and Spybot Search & Destroy.
(6) Unsolicited BULK E-mail is cyberterrorism. Legal action may be taken against those (an individual, company, or organization) responsible. Report suspicious or obscene E-mail to the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3).
